Weiss Ratings, an independent ratings agency that regularly evaluates the relative safety of U.S. banks and credit unions, has once again awarded AMG National Trust Bank an A+ rating as of Q2 2023.
Since 2021, AMG has consistently received A+ ratings.
AMG is proud to be recognized as a high-performing community bank. We believe that community banks are vital organizations to local communities. They support their local economies, take the time to truly know their customers, and can offer nimble decision-making on loans.
“AMG has built a reputation for service that goes beyond conventional banking services to provide exceptional solutions. We are honored to be recognized as one of the safest and highest rated community banks,” said Tom Chesney, President–Commercial Banking Division.
Weiss safety ratings are synthesized into five indexes: capitalization, asset quality, profitability, liquidity, and stability. Because weakness in one factor can signal other financial problems, a weak score in any one of the five indexes can lead to a lower score.
Since its founding in 1971, Weiss Ratings maintains that it has never accepted any form of payment from rated entities for its research or ratings.
